Nothing is so exciting and a bit worrying than a new post...
As a candidate for teaching, although not for the first time, I am flying on the clouds with my dreams to be a perfect teacher!
A school called me for an interview from London. Leaving Paris for a fresh start in a new flat with new people makes me extremely jovial. It is dreams that make us all happy. Without them reality never satisfies our hunger for happiness and...I have a dream!
Having restarting reading articles on teaching, books on EFL while trying to finish my Masters degree, I have the utmost enthusiasm once again for my new profession and... I am proud of it!
Anyone having the same feelings... It is the best to plan everything to the tiniest detail. I've just recorded a mock interview on my own... That is fantastic especially if you can film it and watch how confident you look and how funy you become sometimes. It is extremely funny! More importantly, I feel confident now.
I know, I know... I have a lot to do. Research, analysis, writing, etc. However, once you believe yourself there is nothing human beings cannot achieve. Therefore, start with a few articles to motivate yourself, go refer to the past teaching books, plan your outlook and speech... There your are! A new post is ready for you.
If you have all the qualifications, but lack the experience... You might ingnore your efforts so far... Yet, go back and even re-read your transcript to remember all you did at the university or even high school to train yourself for that very moment. That will give you an overall confidence, and remind you yourself!
So... Don't wait! Dream and go for it!
